1031 N. Sixth St.

This 2000 sq. ft., four bedroom/two bathroom home had gone through foreclosure and been vacant for over a year when we purchased it in April 2008. Although it was structurally sound, years of deferred maintenance had taken a toll.

The exterior was completely remodeled with a rebuilt front porch and balcony; new roof; new siding; new energy efficient windows and doors; new gutters, soffit and fascia. A new concrete driveway and patio were poured and the yard received a major landscaping renovation to counteract the years of neglect. The interior received new bathroom fixtures, new light fixtures and ceiling fans, and was entirely repainted throughout.

All new floor coverings were installed, and the hardwood floors in the living room and dining room were refinished. A high efficiency HVAC system was installed and the plumbing and electrical systems were updated.

By fall 2008 the work was completed and in December 2008 a family was referred to us by M.E.R.C.Y. Communities, Inc.

Today, this house is the new home for a single mom, her five children and developmentally disabled brother.
