The Mission

The purpose of this entity is to serve the community by providing quality, affordable housing for marginalized families while also revitalizing neighborhoods. In order of emphasis, the goals of The Jeremiah Project NFP, Inc. are as follows:

To rehabilitate houses for the purpose of providing affordable housing for marginalized families as well as neighborhood revitalization. The Jeremiah Project NFP, Inc. will seek to concentrate efforts on a specific neighborhood rather than a scattered-site model.
To partner with M.E.R.C.Y. Communities, Inc.; Positive Options, Referrals and Alternatives, Inc.; and other transitional housing programs to provide permanent housing and the option of home ownership for graduates of these programs.
To secure donations, grants, and corporate sponsorships when possible to offset the cost of rehabilitating the homes, and to employ minority contractors as often as possible.
To create apprenticeship and training opportunities for disadvantaged youth by involving them in the rehabilitation process when possible and seeking grant money that will provide for employment of such youth.
